The FREE YOUR FADE shawl pattern is written by famous knit wear designer Andrea Mowry and features a garter stitch, beautiful eyelet rows, and a picot trim, and is endlessly adaptable so you can easily make it your own. Recommended needle size: US 4 - 3.5mm (not included).
PRINTED PATTERN: This pattern by Andrea Mowry is famous for good reasons; it is playful but well written with great explanations, clear instructions, many photos and a diagram with measurements. It is endlessly adaptable so you can easily make it your own and use it again and again for shawls of all sizes and color combinations. SUPER SOFT AND STRONG: Galilea skeins are cuddly, squishable and oh, so soft... For durability we gave Galilea an extra twist; instead of the usual 3-4 plies this yarn has 8 plies. This extra cable twist provides remarkable stitch definition and assures that your project keeps its shape.
SIMPLE CARE: Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cycle. Use cold water with mild wool detergent. Do not bleach or use softeners. Dry flat.

As with all hand dyed yarns we recommend buying the full amount of skeins needed for your project at once. For larger pieces knitted in a single color it is advisable to alternate skeins every 5-7 rows to avoid abrupt color changes. With Galilea it is so easy to achieve that exquisitely textured color play of a handmade master piece - you will be delighted to say "I made it myself"! Technically Galilea is a sock yarn (meaning it is strong enough for gentle machine washing) but it is so pretty that it is mostly shown off in shawls, wraps and other fashion accessories... after all, you have bragging rights! Did we mention that Galilea is made to be worn on bare skin? It is spun from super soft SuperWash Merino wool with just a touch of Nylon for strength. It is so sumptuous and squishable that you may want to pet your skeins. Before knitting with Galilea we recommend winding your skein into a ball for tangle free knitting - or crochet, of course.
