In this auction we offer:
I offer you an aviation turbo compressor module which is designed to produce compressed air with very high efficiency.
The subassembly is used both as a source of air to the cabin (blowing to maintain pressure) and a source of hot air (along with exhaust gases) for the cabin heater and auxiliary start-up of other aircraft engines.
The compressor provides air with a maximum pressure of about 3 atmospheres (3 bars) and a capacity of about 60 m3 / min (1 m3 / s). Of course, these are the maximum parameters of the component and can be smoothly adjusted depending on the demand.
The compressor has its own gearbox with lubrication system and oil tank, and an additional fuel pump, which is used as a fuel pump for combustion in the heater or for supplying other circuits.
ATTENTION! The compressor was adapted to continuous operation, that is, as long as the engine was spinning, the compressor was running.
A coaxial shutter-type valve is mounted on the inlet pipe to regulate the air flow. A flap valve is mounted on the outlet pipe for an additional air line. The flap valve has an additional kerosene diffuser to create a mixture for combustion in the heater or auxiliary start. Both valves are controlled by diaphragm actuators.
Of course, the entire turbo compressor is equipped with operating sensors.
The subassembly was manufactured by the American company Garret and was used on large and medium-sized transport and passenger aircraft.
Air inlet diameter 110 mm.
Main air outlet diameter 95 mm.
Auxiliary outlet diameter 55 mm.
Drive shaft diameter 32 mm.
Total weight about 35 kg.
The shaft has a gear that increases rotation.
The offered turbocharger is a beautiful example of aerospace engineering and can serve as an ornament.
Compressors of this type are sometimes used in tuning large combustion engines, because with their use it is possible to even triple the power of large engines.
The offered compressor is functional, it is in very good condition.
