    Antique Mechanical Doorbell & Ornate Brass Push-Button Pat. 1902
    Description
    This unusual mechanical doorbell set was made by the Builders Supply Co. and has the patent date of 1902 on the back. It's got a push-button mechanism - when your guests push the black button, it activates the mechanical bell on the inside. The antique plate, made by P. and F. Corbin in the lovely "Lorraine" pattern,  has a Victorian anthemion design and is stamped brass. The bell has original worn copper plating on the cast iron cover and an iron base, and it produces a clear, repeating ring. The doorbell is in excellent working condition and the set is ready to be easily installed on your door. Rare.
    Antique Bell base measures 3 1/2 diameter. Push button base is 2 1/2" wide and 5 3/4" tall. Steel rod which connects the bell to the twist through your door (or wall) is 8 1/8" long and can be easily cut down to any length.
