Despite illness, Devils’ biggest surprise adds to a very healthy power play

The Devils weren’t sure if winger Stefan Noesen would be able to play in a critical Metropolitan Division game against the Carolina Hurricanes until close to puck drop on Thursday night.
After the 4-2 victory, coach Sheldon Keefe revealed that Noesen had battled an illness on Thursday, and he was a game-time decision.
